Hortencia (Zuniga) Sustaita

Hortencia Zuniga Sustaita, 66, of Austin, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 in Austin, Texas.  Mrs. Sustaita was born May 9, 1950 in Mexico to Esteban and Julia Gonzalez Zuniga.

She was united in marriage to Librado Sustaita in Brownsville, Texas on July 12, 1975 and to this union six children were born.

Hortencia loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all of them.  She loved to garden, making big meals for everyone, and made everyone feel special and loved when they saw her. She also loved to crochet.

Visitation will be held from 3:00- 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19 at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel. A Visition will also be held on Thursday, April 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel where a Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Celebration will be held on Friday, April 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Barbara Catholic Church in Austin.

Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lockhart.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Martin Perez, Arturo Flores, Fernando Robledo, Raymundo Constancio, Fabian Villanueva, Geraldo Caraballo, Dillon Ramirez and Dion Ramirez.

Mrs. Sustaita is preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Sustaita is survived by: Husband Librado Sustaita, her children: Gregoria Malagon and husband Roberto, Ana Sustaita, Maria Sustaita Garcia and husband Antonio, Miguel Sustaita and wife Nydia, Oralia Sustaita, Lorena Sustaita; her grandchildren: Kassandra A., Dion, Dillon, Iliana, Kassandra M., Christian, Carolina, Robert S., Miguel Jr., Roberto Jr., Fernando; Brothers: Domingo Zuniga, Lorenzo Zuniga, Monserrato Zuniga, Secundino Zuniga; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends also survive.
