Mary Helen (Velasquez) Martinez

Mary Helen Martinez, 75, of Lockhart, died September 10, 2017.

Mary was born on August 12, 1942 in Lockhart to Leonardo Velasquez and Benita Capello.

She was united in marriage to Luis Martinez on November 6, 1971 in Lockhart.

Mary enjoyed being with her family.  She was also a huge Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorn & San Antonio Spurs fan and she watched every game. 
Mary was preceded in death by: her parents and siblings, Joe Velasquez, Gilbert Velasquez, Ofelia Velasquez, Jesuscita Velasquez, Dora Velasquez, and Corrina Yanez.

Mary is survived by her husband, Luis Martinez; Daughter, Karen Ann Martinez; Sister, Rosemary Mendez; Brothers, Guadalupe Velasquez, Abel Velasquez, Tony Velasquez; Grandchildren, Kelsey Rene Martinez, Ryan Luis Martinez; Aunt, Hortencia Campos, Special Great Niece Kaylee Marie Mendez, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m..

Visitation will also be on Thursday, September 14 at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m..

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 15 at St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
