Joseph Spence, 93, of Lockhart passed away peacefully at Luling, Texas on Tuesday, August 5, 2008.

Mr. Spence was born in Lockhart to Benjamin and Suzette Smith Spence on June 10, 1915. He had worked for the University of Texas for many years before his retirement as a custodian. Mr. Spence was of the Methodist faith.
