Mrs. Frances Louise Boyd, 85, passed away on March 17, 2009 in Austin. She was born on December 16, 1923 to J. Carl and Louise Goebel Schubert in Lockhart, Texas. Frances was a lifelong resident of Lockhart and belonged to several clubs and organizations such as: the American Legion Auxiliary, the Irving club, a book club, and several bridge clubs. Frances was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church having served as a church elder, a member of the Women’s circle as well as serving on various committees. She had worked for Farmers Home Administration as an administrative assistant for thirty-two years before her retirement in 1989. Frances was preceded in death by her husbands: Jesse Etheredge in 2000, Ray Bozarth Sr., in 1987, and Jack Boyd in 2007, her parents, and brother, Alton Schubert. She is survived by her three children: Nell Sanchez and her husband James of Austin , Betsy McKean and her husband Ronnie of New Braunfels, Marty Bozarth and his wife Susan of Houston, four grandchildren: Kelly Simpson and her husband Chris, Kathy Westbrook and her husband Corey, Trey Bozarth and his wife Amanda , and Travis Bozarth, and one great grandchild. Friends may call at Eeds Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19th, from 9:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Dr. Terry Bozarth officiating with Reverend Dr. Fred Abney assisting. Serving as the pallbearers will be: Chris Simpson, Travis Bozarth, Corey Westbrook, Douglas Braeuer, Trey Bozarth and Bob Brom. Interment will follow at Lockhart City Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Lockhart and the American Cancer Society in honor of Frances.
