Mr. Elroy Turner was born to the Mr. and Mrs. Dale and Alice Turner on October 3, 1935 In Pflugerville,Texas. He was reared in a loving Christian home and accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. Mr. Elroy Turner enlisted in the United States Army in 1954. While in the service of this country he spent four years overseas in Korea, and was honorably discharge in 1958. On August 29, 1959, Elroy was united in Holy Matrimony to Miss Betty J. Kirsksey of Lockhart Texas, and to this glorious union, they were blessed with four daughter. He also survives by two daughters from previous relationship. He was a loving protector caring husband. As a father, stressed family ties and taught his family and friends that no goal was beyond their abilities. Despite his many interests and successes, his proudest accomplishment was the development of his children’s and family. His pride in their diversity and their interests was the highlight of his life. His indomitable spirit and positive outlook survive him and extend through the lives of children and grandchildren. He was a selfless and loving individual who always saw the best in everyone. Even during his last days, he tried to comfort his family and others that he knew would grieve for him. Elroy Turner knew that when he left his earthly home, he would be escorted into the presence of God. We are at peace and comforted knowing Elroy is free of the pain and suffering caused by Leukemia cancer. He did not lose the battle with Leukemia, but won the great prize of eternal life. He enjoyed all season of the year but spring was very special this is the time he would tilt his soil, fertilize, weeded and plant a beautiful garden, and watch it grow. Not only did he provide the fruit of his labor for his family, but to neighbors, friends, all of his other multiply talents re-stain furniture or building a deck, hanging wallpaper, or just plain sitting around talking about good days of a trunk driver on the CB radio trying to make to home, strangers so it seem fitting and right that God saw fit to take him home this spring to live with him forever. In addition to his parents Elroy was proceded in death by three brother (Gene, Robert, Dale) and three sisters (Victoria, Lillie Mae , Idale)
