Gerry Fehlis

Gerry Fehlis, 77, of Lockhart passed away July 20, 2009 in San Marcos. She was born March 27, 1932 to Hilbert Christian and Wanda Wisian Nolte in Maxwell, Texas. Gerry was a retired sales clerk who worked for H.E.B. for many years. She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Lockhart. Gerry was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Laverne Fehlis in 1987. Gerry is survived by two sons; Michael and wife Suzanne Fehlis of Seguin and Russell Fehlis of Lockhart, two daughters; Lori and husband Danny Magness of Austin and Tammy and husband Darby Wright of New Braunfels, Texas, one sister; Barbara Maner of Fredericksburg, eight grandchildren; Michael Fehlis Jr. and wife Mandy, Cody Fehlis, Amber Davis and husband Justin, Kierstin Richason, Jeremy Magness, Travis Wright, Kayleigh Wright, ,and Waylon Hebert and wife Trina, four great grandchildren, and a very special friend, sister-in-law Emily Fehlis.
A visitation with family and friends was held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Eeds Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 23rd at Eeds Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Allen officiating. Serving as the pallbearers were: Michael Fehlis Jr., Cody Fehlis, Waylon Hebert, Kerry Fehlis, Larry Pearce, and Justin Davis. Serving as the honorary pallbearers were:, Travis Wright, Jeremy Magness, Gary Allen, and Zander Maner. Interment followed at the Lockhart City Cemetery. All arrangements with Eeds Funeral Home, 408 South Main Street, Lockhart, Texas 78644. (512) 398-2343. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
