On the morning of February 20, 2009 the sweet spirit of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, slipped away to join our Lord and Savior. Annie Mae Thompson was born in Caldwell County, Texas on January 28, 1922. At a very early age, Mrs. Thompson professed her faith in God, and lived a truly holy life, walking in His grace and love. Mrs. Thompson was a devoted member of Dale Corinth United Methodist Church for many years and later, joined St. Marks United Methodist Church in Lockhart where she maintained active membership until her death. Mrs. Thompson was united in Holy Matrimony on June 29, 1941, to Olan Thompson. To this union six children (three girls and three boys) were born. Annie was preceded in death by her husband ,Olan, parents, son, Olan Jr., brother Alvin, granddaughter Serena and grandson Kevin. Mrs. Thompson leaves to cherish her memories her five children, Tommie Thompson (Essie); Ola Orr (Reed); James D. Thompson (Dorothy); Linda Thompson-Bennett; Wilma Duncan (Charles). Eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Our memories of Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother that we shared will never be forgotten and we will be forever cherished by her family and friends. She gave unselfishly to others during her lifetime. We thank God for allowing her to touch our lives as well as the many individuals who were impacted by her life.
Love you, Annie Mae, Mom, Ma Ma We miss you already! Rest In Peace
