Mrs. Emmajean Lipes, 82, of Lockhart died February 5, 2010 in Luling, Texas. Mrs. Lipes was born July 29, 1927 in Montrose, Colorado to Walter and Nellie Maude Mueller Sparks Roatcap. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Aubrey Lipes in 1991. Mrs. Lipes is survived by her children, Audrey A. Vieira of Taunton, Mass., Alice M. Pegg and husband Steven of Lockhart, James L. Lipes and wife Nancy of Glenwood, Iowa, and Amy S. Zoller and husband Bob of San Marcos. Brother, Harry Eugene Roatcap of Clifton, Colorado. 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren along with other family and friends also survive. Private family cremains scattering at the Royal Gorge Canyon Colorado will take place at a later date, yet to be determined ,presided by the family. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Warm Springs Rehab of Luling. Arrangements with Eeds Funeral Home.
