Aubrey L Spencer, Sr.

Mr. Aubrey “Joe Boy” Louis Spencer leaves family & many loved ones to cherish his memory. He was born to Elmira Spruiell Spencer and Lenoy Spencer Jr., on August 24th, 1951 in Luling Texas.  United in marriage to Mrs. Louella Burton on March 19th, 1982.

Joe Boy enjoyed helping others, Playing cards & pool. He spent time constantly bringing a smile to everyone's face with his funny jokes & outgoing personality.  The definition of an exceptional man, a loving, respected father & grandfather to both sons Kelvin L. Harvey and Aubrey L Spencer Jr. & significant other  Lina Irvine, a daughter Brenda Harvey Coe married to David Ray Coe, & grandchildren to pass on his  valued ways & legacy Lakesha Harvey Coleman married to Garland Coleman,  David Coe, Rashawn Spencer, Keyshawn Spencer., & Ka’imi Baker.

Preceded in death by his parents, Older brother Mr. James R.C. Spriggs, Older sister Mrs. Ebbie Ann Spencer Thompson (Patsy), & his loving wife Louella Burton.

Survived by one sister Mrs. Mary Ann Thompson, & three brothers Mr. George A. Spencer, Mr. Carter C. Spencer and Mr. Hurricane Spencer (Johnnie Spencer). Also, by one step brother Mr. Elmarice Gant (Bubba), two step sisters Mrs. Bobbie Jean Williams, Mrs. Ethel May Wright (Tiny), & a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Eeds Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11 am, Saturday, May 11, 2019 at William Taylor United Methodist Church in Luling. Interment to follow at Ebbon Cemetery.
