Harold Arnold Surginer, 64, of Lockhart, died October 16, 2017.

Harold Surginer was born January 1, 1953 in  Odem , Texas to Vinnia Sides and  Garland Surginer, one of eight children, he had four brothers and three sisters.

He joined the Air Force at the age of 19. He married Patsy Surginer on August 12, 1975, at the age of 20 and they had four beautiful daughters, Michelle, Nicole, Melissa, and Natalie who were born and raised of their union.

Harold and Patsy would also come to adopt five of their grandchildren,  Mariah, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Amelia, and Jordan; and later, two of  their great grandchildren, Anthony and Zayden.

Furthermore, Harold was the loving, devoted grandfather of Trey, Trinity, Arianna, and Alexa Henderson, Jaden and Brayden Juarez, and J.d. and Ivan Cabrera.

He was also thrilled and greatly blessed to meet his beautiful great grandson Maizyn Williams shortly before his parting.

Harold, who was commonly referred to as Pops, was as a selfless man of great kindness and empathetic nature. He was a loving soul who tirelessly gave his everything to meet the needs of those he loved , always helping others in any way he possibly could. Family was his greatest priority and entire world. He was a man of great humor, always laughing and finding the positive in any situation. He loved football, cookouts, fishing, nature, beer, and was obsessed with all things Christmas, as well as a self proclaimed insanely amazing predictor of weather , and the absolute definitive judge of good music, and immensely talented sports-caster! Yet most importantly, Harold taught all who crossed his path that love is, above all things, the single most important. He will be dearly missed, yet never forgotten as his light forever lives in in the glow of his Family’s eyes.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents.

Harold is survived by his wife, Patsy; 4 Daughters, Michelle Surginer of Bastrop, Nicole Surginer of Lockhart, Melissa Surginer, Natalie Surginer of Baytown, Tx,  13 Grandchidren, 3 Great-Grandchildren, a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
