Arlene Gay (McWhorter) Shiltz

Arlene Gay Shiltz, 74 of Albany, Ohio,  passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016,at The Laurels of Athens.

Born August 17, 1942, in Creedmore, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Collie Edward and Gladys Pendergrass McWhorter. She was a retired chef having worked for the O.U. Inn and Beacon School.

She is survived by a daughter Norma (Gary) Arnold Sr., several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; siblings Hazel Clark, Vera Holcomb, Edna "Dollie" Hay, Arthur Edward McWhorter, Joe McWhorter, and Bernice Gustafson; step-children Keith Shiltz and Everett Shiltz, Ceceia Horn,Sherry McKinney, and Marilyn Ellis, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Franklin E. Shiltz in 2005, a daughter June and son in law Pete Graham, sisters Ruby Shirley and Lillian Johnson; and a step-son John Thomas Shiltz.

Services are Monday at 1 PM at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, with Rev. Olan Harvey officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday 4-6 PM, and 1 hr. prior to services.

A Graveside Service will be in Delhi Cemetery, Delhi, Texas at 2:00 on Tuesday, December 27th.
