Audrey G. Wilson was born in Upper Island Cove, Newfoundland on April 24, 1930. She passed away at Ascension Seton Hays Hospital in Kyle, Texas on March 7, 2022. She married Harold “Hank” Wilson of Lockhart on June 23, 1955, while Hank was serving in the U.S. Air Force. They moved to Austin in the late 1950’s where Audrey worked at the University of Texas Health Science Medical Records department while Hank finished his master’s degree. They then moved to Waco, Texas where Audrey worked at Providence Hospital in the records department. There, they had two children Susie and Barbara.
During the Cuban missile crises, Hank was recalled into the U.S. Air Force where Audrey became the supporting wife of a military man. She was an avid duplicate bridge player and member of the Officers Wives Club. After Hank retired from the Air Force, they returned to his hometown of Lockhart where Audrey continued playing bridge every week, making many good and beloved friends. She was also a member of the Irving Club of Lockhart. She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 65 years. Surviving are their two children Susie Cunningham and Barbara Bowering, Barbara’s husband Robert and four grandchildren, Christy Cunningham, Nicky Cunningham, Austin Bowering and Lauren Bowering.
