Baldwin Charles Fehlis

Baldwin Charles Fehlis was born in Maxwell, Texas on November 28, 1926 to Thekla and Walter Fehlis.  

 Baldwin attended Lockhart High School class of 1944. Baldwin married Betty Pruitt on October 23, 1953. Just after graduating he was drafted into the Navy. Baldwin was a signalman/flagman and also helped eradicate floating mines left behind from the war. Baldwin was discharged from the navy and began working at Randolph Air Force base as a firemen. In 1960 Baldwin was then hired as a U.S.  Customs Inspector in Brownsville Texas. He loved fishing at the coast for reds, whiting, skip jack, snapper… you name it. Baldwin was an avid exerciser. He never missed a day going on walks and lifting his weights. Baldwin loved his Houston Astros never missing a game always having that radio to his ear or TV on. He loved his grandkids and family always going to family reunions,The rivers and beach trips. 

Baldwin passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024 at the age of 98 years old.

Baldwin is preceded in death by his wife of 70years Betty Pruitt Fehlis,his son Charles Alan Fehlis, his parents Thekla and Walter Fehlis, his brothers Norman, Harold, Emmitt, Walter (Peewee), La Verne (Vernie), sister Leona Allen. Baldwin is survived by, his daughter Brenda Williams, granddaughter Addison Williams, his grandson Reid and wife Britney Williams, great grandson Travis Williams

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 6,   at 3pm at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Maxwell, Texas. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Maxwell, Texas.
