Joseph Evan Stank

Joseph Evan Stank, 79, went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2019. He was born on December 28, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to Margaret Dalton and Joseph William Stank.

“Papa” was an avid golfer, a proud Veteran, a loving father, bother, and grandfather. He spent his career serving in the Air Force, Army and National Guard, retiring from Camp Mabry. His favorite pastime after retirement was to spend time with his grandchildren, attending school functions, sporting events and other activities. Though he is gone, he will be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his ex-spouse, Peggy Kurfman, whom he remained friends with over the years. He was survived by his daughters, Angela (Robert) Johnson, Cathy Mills (Scot Bergschneider) and Christine (Vincent) Lopez; his grandchildren, Josh Mills, Robert Mills, Brittany (Ben) West, Danielle Warcup, Justin Grant, Colt Johnson and Kailey Johnson; his great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Retherford, Emerson West, Kinsleigh West and Riley Grant; one brother, Norman (Maryanne) Stank; one niece, Beverly Mann and one nephew, Brian Stank.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 10:00 am at Pettytown Cemetery.
