Patricia Ringelstetter Obituary

Trish

Patricia (Trish) Ringelstetter passed away on February 18, 2023, of complications from myelofibrosis. Trish was born in Dublin Ireland on February 12, 1943, to her parents Patricia and Frank Stewart.

Trish loved travelling (except the flying part) and enjoyed most of the overseas projects which brought the family to many countries. She always found something productive to do such as managing a garment factory in Ballia Ireland (where she met Jim), the Whole Foods Shop in Scotland, School Office Manager in Saudi Arabia, a Clothing Boutique in Australia, and a Shopping Center in Old Town Spring Texas. She made a point of creating a “Home” environment for her family wherever she was.

Trish spent the last couple of years in Texas, mostly in Lockhart, close to her grandchildren, but constantly hounded Jim to take her to her Galveston house which she loved.

She was a people person and kept in touch with friends from Ireland, England, Scotland, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and other locations she traveled. Trish was universally loved everywhere she went, in part because of her incredible Irish gift of the gab. She once kissed the Blarney Stone and it showed!

Trish loved pets, especially her cats, and most recently loved to take Pinky and Bluey on morning walks on the Lockhart property. She was an avid reader and left a library of several hundred books after giving away several hundred more.

Trish was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Johnny, sister Gabriel Langdon, brothers Austin (Breda)and Thomas Stewart, sisters-in-law JoAnn (Earl) Bergman, brothers in law Ralph (Ruth) Ringelstetter, Don Reuter, and Jim Hall.

Trish is survived by husband Jim, sons Paul (Susan) and Kevin (Jeannine), grandchildren Luna and Odin, sisters Eve (George) Fasenfeld and Angie (Hugh) O’Neill, sisters-in-law Lorna Renwick, Marlene Reuter and Sylvia Hall, brothers in law Abe Langdon and Don (Sally) Ringelstetter as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Trish will be cremated with arrangements made by Eeds Funeral Home in Lockhart TX. Her ashes will be scattered in some of her favorite spots.

In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome a contribution to Habitat for Humanity.
