Willie Ray Eaton, 86, of Lockhart, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Willie was born on Oct. 26, 1928 in Marietta, Texas, to Erwin and Pauline Boddie Eaton. Willie had so many different careers in his lifetime. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, a minister for the Texas Prison System, and a musician in a band named “Willie Eaton and The Ramblin Rangers” who played with some of the famous country and western stars of the fifties and sixties. Eaton also was a retired United States Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his loving family and numerous friends.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 at Eeds Funeral Home in Lockhart from 5 – 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Eeds Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Jeffrey Cemetery in McMahan, Texas with a full military detail and Masonic honors.
