Evelyn Faye Mager, 83, of Round Rock, Texas, formerly of Lockhart, died Friday, June 10, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Evelyn was born September 9, 1932, in Waelder, Texas to Roy and Rachel Glover.   She lived most of her early life in Gonzales where she graduated from Gonzales HS in 1951 and worked at the local bank.  Evelyn was a member of First Baptist Church of Gonzales, she accepted her savior at age 11 and had a dedicated faith her whole life.  At age 18 she and her mother were involved in starting the missionary church now known as Memorial Heights Baptist Church.  Evelyn loved music and was most admired for jitterbugging with her brother Roy at their favorite dance halls.

On June 16th, 1956 Evelyn married the love of her life, Gus Lee Mager in Gonzales, Texas. They lived and raised their three daughters Susan, Judy and Mary in Lockhart where Evelyn loved being a devoted wife and mother.

Evelyn is survived by:  her three daughters; Susan Etzel-Adcock (Dodd) of Austin, Judy Mager of Round Rock and Mary Mager of Marble Falls.  Her three grandchildren Holly Cochran (Brad) of Round Rock, Shelia Williams (Skyler) of Leander and Clayton Etzel (Amanda) of Lockhart.   And her ten great-grandchildren Logan, Dylan and Samantha Cochran of Round Rock, Marissa, Karsyn and Cooper Williams of Leander and Harbor, Maverick, Daisy and Gunner Etzel of Lockhart.  She is survived by one sister; Dorothy McWilliams (H.O.), sister-in-law; Kay Glover and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.  She taught us the importance of family and made sure we spent time together.  She was the kind of parent we could look up too.

Evelyn is predeceased by: her parents, her loving husband, Gus Mager, and her two brothers Roy Charles Glover and Richard Lamar Glover.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14th, 2016, at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 14th, at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00p.m. with Pastors Clint Lowery and Tommy Wenzel officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be:  Clayton Etzel, Logan Cochran, Skyler Williams, Bubba Mager, David Flowers and Robert Ellis.

Burial will follow at the family plot at Lockhart City Cemetery.
